When S & S designed the Tartan Offshore Cruising Ketch, they created a unique cruiser that not only performs well but has accommodations like none other. One look at the spacious aft cabin will convince you that these boats are truly special.

Great space!

Although she may not be commonly known by many as a Tartan classic, the Tartan Offshore Cruising Ketch represents an interesting chapter in the company’s history. The TOCK first took shape on the drawing boards of Sparkman and Stephens in 1974 as design no. 2184 followed by a production run of 30 of these “Passagemakers” during 1976 and 1977.
Drawing inspiration from Irving Johnson’s 1959 ketch “Yankee”, the TOCK has several unique features which distinguish her among the Tartan line. Perhaps the most apparent among these is her midships cockpit and high bulwarks, but it is below that the designer’s intent fully unfolds. Purposely designed as a liveaboard for couples, her layout includes a “great cabin” aft measuring a full 22 feet long by 13 feet wide spanning half the yacht’s length, a fully outfitted galley with over 10 feet of counter space, a head with a separate walk-in shower, a pullman style stateroom forward opposite a second head and vanity, and a convertible vee-berth/utility area in the forepeak.

The ketch rig keeps the sails easily managed. This Sparkman & Stevens design has a long keel, lead ballast, and skeg-hung rudder for maximum stability, good tracking and maneuverability.

And details of crew & inclusions.
Also boat’s location & nearest international airport.
We are experienced boaters from HK & looking for the right boat to share for a week anywhere in the Med with some of our (adult) children.
    Thanks & regards,
    Roger S.

HI I am looking to buy a TOCK, do you have any ideas? Seems just about the nicest layout I can fathom for a cruiser/liveaboard…

  3. Hi would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using?
I’m looking to start my own blog in the near
future but I’m having a difficult time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution
and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and
style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.
P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
