Fethiye…the gorgeous

90′ and 110Gton of fire breathing monster

We left Marmaris and cruised the incredible Ecinlik bay, ..restaurant which needs a cable railway to reach, then on to some amazing lunch stops like Boynuz Boku, tables under the trees. Finally via Gocek and the great engines snort and grunt their way till we throw the lines down at the lovely Port town of  Fethiye. (by now the guests recover quite quickly from their last G&T sessions, and are not too bad on the heavy warps, even though it is 36centigrade)

View west to east across Fethiye in the evening

Good night out and then next day to ..here’s the secret..bay around the corner Pinayalti Koyu…superb very late lunch stern to on the tiny quay. Cooling swim afterward in Turkeys unpolluted waters. Ya, the tiresome regs are worth it!

Pinaralti Koyu just as we pull away..great ‘Bali’ style restaurant ..in this microclimate cove

..mmmore gulets of course….

Gulet ahead

..and so after two months of zero rain, its has poured for the last hour, mind you a relief!

Tonight I sit in YES Marina with beer in hand listening to the complete six (plus studio) albums of

Faithless…

remember them?    Listen here   They broke up this year 😦

YES Marina, with, would you believe, yes, its own waterside restaurant.

For the nautical..spot my deliberate mistake in a descriptor above..free trip for the one who sees it!

..more story to come soon..

    • Hi Greg, good to hear from you. Yes the water quality here is truly amazing, especially if you consider the hype about the Med. We can still chat about the details of various opportunities, offline, if you wish. Phil
